Scenario
Retailers envision virtual shopping as the way of the future since consumers can have the stores prioritized based on their interests, purchase history etc. VR store enables the customer to experience the store using HTC vive. Customers can enter the store, pick and drop products in the cart and proceed to checkout as the way they would do in a real store. This 100 Sq.ft virtual store will imitate the layout of a real store and the products are arranged to match the consumer mind map.
Discovery
Explored various store layouts with multiple aisles and sizes of the virtual store. Optimize the layout and store size to give users he sensed real scale matching the “Field of view” of the VR headset. Researched on several interface choices for VR and prepared UI guidelines for diegetic interfaces. Responsible for evaluating ways to map controllers and interfaces. Evaluated the polygon and texture budget for building the optimized experience.

1. To create a virtual store that allows customers to explore and purchase the products with ease of use.
2. To provide consumers an intuitive and memorable experience by providing them a very realistic store.
3. To provide consumers to explore product details leisurely while they are at comfort of their homes.
4. To provide consumers hyper personalized deals and offers based on their persona and ability for them to store preferences.

Desk research and mood board
Primary research were carried out by taking references of currently available virtual stores and the key learnings from the interactions. Research was done on several aspects such as Layout, Navigation, Locomotion, In-store graphics, Cart interaction, Product information display and pricing, Promotions, Reviews and loyalty points, and Payment.
